Jason Byrne - The Ironic Bionic Man
Sunday 18th
Jason Byrne, half man, half natural disaster. Over the course of his accident-prone life Jason has been rebuilt from the ground up. Bits removed, metal pins, new knee, and an eye that’s been treated, over the years, by the medical profession like a game of Pong. This all culminated last year with heart surgery, twice! He enjoyed it so much he went back for more.
Join the most gifted live comedian on the planet as he invites you to laugh at his misfortune.
If he tried to say Schadenfreude, he’d probably dislocate his tongue.
‘The Outright King of Live Comedy’
The Times
‘There is nobody else on the planet who makes me laugh like that. Your world will be a better place after seeing Jason live’
The Newcastle Chronicle
Whale Theatre Greystones
Danny O’Brien - Sweet Child O’Brien
Thursday 15th
Friday 16th
After a complete sell-out nationwide tour including full houses at both The Whale Theatre and Bray Comedy Festival last year, multi-award-winning Wicklovian comedian Danny O' Brien is back in Greystones this February with a brand new nostalgia-packed high-energy stand-up show bringing the big laughs home to his native county! O' Brien has revisited all the simple joys of a late 80s/early 90s
Irish childhood (to find the undisputed winner!) and sought to find out if a simpler time was indeed a happier one.
This year he has toured all over the world, including a month-long tour around New Zealand, Canada & Newfoundland representing Ireland with various International TV appearances as well as several worldwide comedy festivals in Asia, Europe, the US, and a month of sell-out solo shows and rave reviews at The Edinburgh Fringe Festival!
(he also may or may not have accidentally killed two Tamagotchis along the way!)
He has toured nationally with John Colleary, Today FM's Dermot & Dave, and he also opened for American comedian Bill Burr in front of over 8,000 people in Dublin's 3Arena!
He is also a regular contributor on Irish Television and Radio.
"Danny is one of our favourite comedians, go see him live this year wherever you can!" Foil, Arms & Hog
“He opened for me at the 3Arena and f*cking murdered it! Bill Burr
“O’Brien is genuinely, uproariously funny with a huge stage presence and wicked timing”
The Sunday Independent
Colin Murphy - WHATCHAMACOLIN
Saturday 17th
Colin Murphy's last tour Colinization was a sell out. Since then he has survived covid and a royal funeral… just. But in 2023 he's back out on the road with his biggest and best stand up tour yet, WHATCHAMACOLIN.
As well as starring in twenty series of the BBC's award winning ratings topper the Blame Game, hosting IMRO award nominated Great Unanswered Questions, acting in BAFTA winning People Like Us, being a team captain on panel show Clear History, over a hundred appearances on the hugely popular, multi IFTA award nominated show The Panel, plus hosting and co-writing six series of the cult classic show Blizzard of Odd on RTE, Colin has also taken his stand up to all corners of the world. From Montreal, to Melbourne, New York, Edinburgh, Shanghai, Madrid and Strabane.
If you’re a fan of the telly stuff then you’ll love WHATCHAMACOLIN; a show full of pin perfect observations, self righteous indignation and a bit of swearing. To still be performing stand-up at this level after thirty years he must be doing something right.
